fromis_9 (프로미스 / 프로미스나인), an initialism for ‘From Idol School’, consists of 8 members: Saerom, Hayoung, Jiwon, Jisun, Seoyeon, Chaeyoung, Nagyung, and Jiheon. They were created through the survival program Idol School. They officially debuted on January 24, 2018, under Stone Music Entertainment. Although the band is formed through a reality show, fromis_9 will be a permanent group, not a temporary group. On September 21, 2018, it was announced that the band will be managed by Off the Record. Currently, they transferred agencies over to PLEDIS Entertainment as of August 16, 2021. Gyuri left after her exclusive contract ended on July 31, 2022.
