my daily music rant cause ts pmo. SOMBR... is NOT alternative. he's POP. Alternative music is music made by artists that are OUTSIDE the mainstream. Sombr is most definitely IN the mainstream. Alternative music is NOT sombr.... olivia rodrigo.... lorde... ROLE MODEL, etc. Alternative would be artists like Gorillaz, Mumford &Sons, Porch Light, Lily Allen, Fiona Apple, etc. Cause no fucking way they put CORTIS in the alternative genre. They're not alternative, they've become MAINSTREAM.

Brings me to my other point...
Alternatice music has been ruined by streaming services.. like fym the so-called "music critics" and trusted platforms are labeling pop artists, indie artists, metal artist, etc, as ALTERNATIVE. I miss when people actually knew what music genres meant and sorted them PROPERLY. Maybe I sound like a music elistest but genuinely, it makes me so mad. Can we PLEASE educate ourselves before labeling artists as this and that. Give me back my actual alternative music 💔🥀
